BEATI QUORUM is a small hybrid professional/volunteer ensemble singing the gamut of choral music. The auditions will fill spaces for four professional singers and sixteen studious volunteer singers. Our five-year goal is to have a quorum of 12 professional contracted singers rotating for different concerts alongside 16-24 volunteer singers chosen by demands of the repertoire. The music programmed will be from the earliest sounds notated in history through avant-garde and modern/contemporary music. We will program and record works with small orchestras, organ, and modern musical ensembles.
Beati Quorum is excited to team up with musicians in Santa Cruz, South Bay and the greater Bay Area to produce notable concerts and to make international connections over time. Our more immediate plans are to serve the community of Santa Cruz directly by enhancing events, stirring inspiration in music education and bringing a distinguished choral sound to our musical community.
